Monday January 5, 2014 7:00 P.M.
The Regular Meeting of the Marble Rock City Council was called to order with Mayor Engelhardt presiding with Councilpersons Ackley, Marzen, Schmidt, and Schriever, and Wells were present. Mayor Engelhardt led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Moved Marzen/seconded Ackley to approval of agenda. Roll: Ayes- All. Carried.
Moved Ackley/seconded Wells to accept the minutes of the December 1, 2014 regular Meeting. Roll: Ayes- All. Carried
Moved Marzen/seconded Schriever to approve the monthly reports. Roll: Ayes- All. Carried.
Income for the month of December totaled $291,362.76 which includes: General Fund $5,541.72, Park Board Fund $0.23, Library Fund $694.28, Employee Benefits $1,672.67, Road Revenue Fund $2,305.77, TIF Fund $4935.25, Landfill-Garbage/Recycling Fund $1,135.22, Sewer Revenue Fund $2,647.59, Water Revenue Fund $272,700.14.
Moved Ackley/seconded Schmidt to approve the claims. Roll: Ayes- All. Carried. Total of all city claims were $277,266.36.

MAYOR’S REPORT: The County has hired a new Emergency Management Coordinator.
Santa Claus had about 26 visitors as he had 40 bags of goodies. The rest of the bags were left at the library for children who could not make it to see Santa that day.
The DNR did a report on the trees in town and there is a copy available at City Hall if anyone is interested in looking at it.
Mayor Engelhardt appointed Lynn Wedeking to the Community Center Board. Moved Ackley/seconded Marzen to Mayor Engelhardt’s appointment of Lynn Wedeking to the Community Center Board. Roll: Ayes- All. Carried.
Moved Ackley/seconded Wells to approve Whitetail’s Liquor License renewal. Roll: Ayes- All. Carried.
Moved Marzen/seconded Schriever to table the amendment to the dog ordinance until comparison to other city’s ordinances and talking with Chris Diggins.

Moved Ackley/seconded Schmidt to set a public hearing date to Amend Budget ending fiscal year 2015 on February 2nd 2015 at 7:00p.m. Roll: Ayes- All. Carried.
Moved Ackley/seconded Schriever to set a public hearing date to approve Budget ending fiscal year 2016 on February 2nd 2016 at 7:05p.m. Roll: Ayes- All. Carried.
Moved Marzen/seconded Schriever to approval of replacing City Hall printer, spending no more than three hundred dollars. Roll: Ayes- All. Carried.
Other items discussed: Omnitel Communications picked up the sewer main bill from M & N Heating and Popp Excavating due to a line going through it and grease build up.
The work out room was rummaged through and a few things were stolen. There is a new lock on the door, so anyone interested in using it may come to City Hall to get the key.
The Lion’s Club asked the City if they could build a lean to or a bus shelter on City property at the City garage. The City would like the Lion’s Club to come up with a design and present it to the council.
The DNR did a inspections and had some recommendations they would like the City to do and they are all in progress. Jim O’Brian will be a backup when Josh is unable to be here.
