REGULAR MEETING

MARBLE ROCK CITY COUNCIL

MONDAY, MARCH 4, 2013 7:00 P.M.

 

††††††††† The Regular Meeting of the Marble Rock City Council was called to order with Mayor Engelhardt presiding with Councilpersons Hubbard, Marzen, Schmidt, and Wells present. Parcher- Absent. Various interested citizens were present.Mayor Engelhardt led the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

Moved Marzen/seconded Wells for approval of the agenda. Roll: Ayes- Hubbard, Marzen, Schmidt, Wells. Absent- Parcher. Carried.

 

Mayor called to order the Public Hearing on Purposed F/Y 2014 Budget. He called for any comment of discussion. There being none, he called for a motion to adjourn. Moved Marzen/seconded Wells to close public hearing at 7:02p.m. Roll: Ayes- Hubbard, Marzen, Schmidt, Wells. Absent- Parcher. Carried.

 

Rustin Lingbeek from Yaggy Colby gave a brief update on the well. Stating that there will be a meter switch which will save the city $500.00. He also informed the council that he will be leaving Yaggy Colby March 15th and taking a different job in M.N. and that Tom from Yaggy Colby will be taking over Rustinís projects.

Moved Wells/seconded Schmidt to approve monthly reports. Roll: Ayes- Hubbard, Marzen, Schmidt, Wells. Absent- Parcher. Carried.

 

Income for the month of February totaled $16,140.11 which includes:General Fund $2,597.25, Library Fund $65.15 Park Board Fund $0.00, Employee Benefits Fund $36.40, Road Revenue Fund $2,560.00 TIF Fund $87.61, Landfill-Garbage/Recycling Fund $1,149.92, Sewer Revenue Fund $2,488.55, Water Revenue Fund $7,591.80, Proprietary Fund $-371.42.

††††††††† Mayor Reports- Mayor reported that there were concerns about the kids at one of the bus stops, playing around the city garage. The Mayor stopped by the bus stop one morning and the kids were playing in the road. He redirected them and had no problems.

††††††††† Mayor also reported the Valentineís Fund Raiser for the Community Center was a great time and that the Community Center plans to try it again.

 

Moved Wells/seconded Schmidt to have three park trees dropped by Ohlendorfís company for $100 a tree and then have the park open to the public to come and take any wood they would like. Roll: Ayes- Marzen, Schmidt, Wells. Nays- Hubbard. Absent- Parcher. Carried.

Moved Wells/seconded Marzen to table the NIACOG codification agreement until J.R. talks the NIACOG about it. Roll: Ayes- Hubbard, Marzen, Schmidt, Wells. Absent- Parcher. Carried.

 

Moved Hubbard/seconded Wells to a Resolution Adopting the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2014. Roll: Ayes- Hubbard, Marzen, Schmidt, Wells. Absent- Parcher. Carried.

 

Moved Hubbard/seconded Marzen to change Paulís sick days back to 60 days to follow Resolution 1982-12. Roll: Ayes- Hubbard, Marzen, Schmidt, Wells. Absent- Parcher. Carried.

 

Moved Hubbard/seconded Wells to have a Public Hearing on April 1 at 7:00p.m. To adopt the Amended Budget for 12/13 fiscal year budget. Roll: Ayes- Hubbard, Marzen, Schmidt, Wells. Absent- Parcher. Carried.

 

Moved Wells/seconded Hubbard to have Spring Clean Up on April 15th and to inform the public that they can call and make an appointment at the City Hall for Paul to come and pick up any appliances except for T.V.s. Roll: Ayes- Hubbard, Marzen, Schmidt, Wells. Absent- Parcher. Carried.

 

Other items discussed- were assigning Viafield address numbers to a couple of their buildings.
